STARTING OUT

People take drums lessons for all different reasons and start at all different ages.  Some are sparked early on in life and are driven to play, others take lessons to simply “round out” and add interest and variety to their educations, a little sports … a few years of music lessons ... [you'd be surprised what early music training can do for someone and how important that type of discipline is later in life].

There are also those who play and are self-taught, but are looking for some advancement by way of one on one instruction, guidance or coaching. And finally, the folks who have it on their bucket list so to speak - always wanted to play but life or work took priority, now given some extra time BANG! they sign up and start having a blast!

From any angle playing drums is fun though. Whether you are playing to songs on your own; working towards putting a band together; trying to find a route to fit in and belong;  or just needing a therapeutic release at the end of a busy day,  drums are probably one of the healthiest instruments out there! ~ Please read through the "Career" page for more information on lessons and where they can lead.
